    This PCB is built around a NanJing Top Power ASIC corp. TP4056 charging chip. Search for the datasheet of this part for full details. Everything works as described in the datasheet. The Rprog resistor is 1.2kohm which sets the maximum charging current to 1amp. Beware of over-heating and burning-out the chip at this current! Rprog (the resistor in the centre of the bottom edge of the PCB marked "122") can be changed to a higher value to reduce the charging current and so reduce the power dissipation. e.g., Rprog=4.7Kohm will set the charging current to 250mA. High power dissipation can occur when charging a cell which is discharged. When the cell voltage is <2.9v the charge circuit is in trickle charge mode (130mA). As soon as the cell voltage reaches 2.9v, the charge circuit will switch into constant current charge mode. At 5v input and 1amp charging current, the asic and 0.4ohm series resistor will now dissipate 2 watts between them. This will burn-out the asic very quickly. Provided the circuit is used within its power dissipation limits, it does everything you would expect of a LiIon cell charger.
    Can overheat if used to charge over-discharged cells at the maximum charge current.

    fixes Baofeng 888S charger
    Bought this cheap board to fix the charger on the Baofeng 888S. Swapped this in and the original pcb out. Works very fine. Picked up the signal from the LEDs on the board and routed them to external ones.

    For this ultra low price, you should really get more than one. High quality!

    The USB socket is "USB mini" (~ recycled from old external usb enclosures).

    I would buy this product again any time.

    - Well i really needed a charging module for a couple of batteries i had stored and i couldn't use them because i didn't have a way to charge them,
    - With this module now i can charge them and it also notifies me when they are fully charged, so with this module you don't have to worry anymore for overcharging a battery.
    The size maybe?, it's so small for me hehe

    Universal charger for batteries
    Universal charging the battery. Charging - super. charges from 0.8A gradually falling at the end of charge up to 0.1A. charges the full battery capacity. very good instrument in building portable amplifier circuits. recommend.

    Li-Ion Charging controller
    Excellent charging board. I used it when I upgraded my electric screwdriver (something like this: http://www.gearbest.com/home-gadgets/pp_139162.html ) from Ni-Cd to Li-Ion.
    -no ports for external signal LEDs;
    -no battery discharge protection.
    -Mini USB connector (not micro USB)
