Original Xiaomi Piston In Ear Earphones Fresh Version

These are my first in-ear headphones. Before that, I always used either inserts (so-called droplets) or overhead (large) headphones. In general, I am satisfied with the purchase and do not regret it. The sound is quite good, at least no worse than the sound of those that I have. And the quality of sound for me is one of the important moments. Well, now more about the headphones themselves:

- The wire is of acceptable length, and the plug is straight. The wire is soft, creates an impression of rubber or silicone.
- Works well on Sony Xperia as well as mp3 player
- The control button is just one. A single press in the player mode pauses, and a double press toggles to the next track. In the same place where the button is, according to tradition, there is a microphone. It is located on the wire of the right earpiece, just below the chin. The sound is not distorted.
- The sound is good. Balanced. The volume is also good.
- Headphones fit comfortably in your ears. Nothing presses and does not irritate.
- Very soft and pleasant ear cup. In the kit are two more pairs of different sizes (small and large, and the middle is already on the headphones themselves).

I've got these earbuds for a price of 4.59 USD during a flash sale. For this price, I thought it will be just an okay experience, because prices of better quality headphones start at around 10-20 USD in local stores. But it looks like, I was wrong. Of course, the brand is well-known in this case, Xiaomi makes great products for low prices, this was a small hint for me when I picked up this item :)
And it looks like, Xiaomi has made an item with decent quality for a very low price.
The sound is clear, the bass is powerful, but the mid- and high-ranges of sounds are also clearly present. It is not that "boom like" bass, which makes listening uncomfortable, it is powerful, but still, bass is not the only kind sound these earbuds can make. So, the sound quality is decent, and the quality is very good. The earbuds themselves are made of aluminium, which gives a very good "cold-feeling" to your ears. The earbuds can also work as headphones, because you'll get a dedicated call button and a built-in mic for phone calls. I have to say, the mic quality is also very good, it delivers my voice without any noise.

Suggestion

Of course, tihs item is not perfect. I have to highlight some points that while DOES NOT decrease the quality of these headphones, still could make my review better.

1. The cable is shaped in a tube-form, which makes easier it to get tangled. It would be better to use a flat style cable, because it makes the cable stronger, and should improve the durability of the earbuds.

2. I miss the dedicated volume buttons. On these headphones, you'll only get a dedicated call/play-pause button, but you won't get any buttons for chaning volume. It is not a very big problem, because you can use your phone/computer/MP3 player to adjust volume, but it is still something that I miss from this particular product.

These xiaomi Earphones have an excellent price / quality ratio. They have a very reasonable build quality, very light and call answer button. The sound is of very reasonable quality. They are very comfortable because the rubber for the ears is soft but well sized. Comes with 2 extra pair of ear rubs.
The only thing that could be a little better is the sound power.
